As a conflict resolution practitioner, I have three distinct, yet
complementary areas of focus: intervention, training, and teaching.
Depending upon situational requirements, I may work with one or
more associates.

Intervention
There are times when individuals or groups determine that they are unable to resolve difficult issues on their own. A dispute may be dividing them, or preventing them from coming to terms. Conflict may be getting in the way of working or personal relationships. A skilled third party can enter the picture and, working alongside the disputing parties, help them find more effective ways to approach each other, craft more sustainable agreements or make healthier decisions through a more collaborative process.

As situations vary, the intervention approach may differ. Assessment may indicate the need for
mediation between or among parties, group facilitation, consulting, individual coaching, or a combination of any of these. For details, click on the appropriate page.

Training Workshops
A major portion of my practice involves leading conflict resolution workshops for an eclectic range of organizations and groups, which include governments, businesses, faith groups, schools, community and professional groups. For details, see my
training page.

Teaching
I currently teach three courses for the Conflict Resolution Department of
Menno Simons College, at the University of Winnipeg.

Associates
Where the scope or scale of an intervention or training indicates, I work with other conflict resolution practitioners, including the associates and staff of Winnipeg’s
Resolution Skills Centre, and other members of the conflict resolution community of Manitoba and other provinces.
